About 99tools
Learn how 99tools creates free South African calculators and keeps their assumptions clear.
What 99tools does
99tools provides free browser-based calculators for education, construction, personal finance and travel planning in South Africa. The tools turn information entered by a visitor into an estimate and explain the formula or assumptions used.
How calculators are prepared
Calculator pages are organised around a specific task. Rates, rules and institutional requirements are checked against relevant official sources where practical, and review dates are displayed. Time-sensitive information should always be confirmed with the responsible institution.
Our responsibility
Results are estimates, not professional advice or official quotations. Visitors remain responsible for checking important decisions with a qualified adviser, university, employer, lender, contractor, SARS or another relevant authority.
